I used to complain that the CCIE written isn't a cert, therefore you shouldn't list it, but I applied to a CCIE level position, and told them in the resume that I was studying for the CCIE and that I'd have it by end of year, and I got the job (that wasn't the only reason I got the job, but atleast I overcame the objection that I wasn't a CCIE).
