I believe the SX refers to short wavelegth for the GBIC's.  I don't recall
an option for the 42.  Do you have part numbers?  If I had to take a shot in
the dark, I'd say get 12 SX (6 for the 4K and 6 for the other 6 switches you
are ordering).  These are just guesses and pert numbers would be helpful.
