That's the view that I am going to take when studying for my CCIE. I don't want to know only 'what' they are going to test in the labs, but rather I would like to say I would want to know everything (a tall order indeed) including outdated stuff like TR, etc as I feel that the only way you become a network god :)
I would prefer to exert the maximum effort for the minimum gain in this instance. My only fear is that I wonder if the CCIE designation is going to devalue itself.
