You can specify a Hidden password, but it still shows up in the configure without the service password-encrytion command. But even with the encryption, there are still quite a few scripts that will break this encryption.

I guess youre gonna have to give it to me like a 2 year old :( What I was wondering is: Im used to start a configuration like this: enable configure terminal hostname Lab-Whatever enable password cisco enable secret class etc etc etc Today someone told me, that I could expand the third line here (enable password cisco) and make it encrypted(?) If this is correct, what would this command look like? (Please, think of me as a 1 year old ok ;) Best, Morgan Hansen mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=47862&t=47856 -------------------------------------------------- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
