I suspect a bad console port is possible, but if this is a result of a
config erase... I'd tend to think otherwise.

Have you tried rebooting and sending the Cntrl Break command, as if you
were having to crack the password ???

This would allow you to catch the router within the ROM defaults, being
this still might be a Console port speed issue.

All the best
Phil

Subject: Router with a bad console...? [7:48228]

Hi,

I have a 2501 router with a bad console... how to solve this problem? I
have tried to connect to the AUX port; it worked for the first time.
But, when I deleted the old configuration I could no more connect to the
router. Any help is appreciated.

Ehab
