Madison is not a high tech area so don't count on getting a routing only job. There is about a dozen companies that need a full time engineer and once those jobs are landed they tend to stick. I too am a CCNP/CCDP and have a couple of leads, but it's thin here too. I was stationed outside Austin and its a great place and true to the word, a lot like Madison.
