Static routes don't have a metric........

(As Howard would say) What problem are you trying to solve?

About the only reason (I can think of) for 2 routes in the routing table is
to load balance across them.  If you're not going to load balance (i.e. if
the static link is just for redundancy), then do as the other person
suggested and make the AD on the static route higher than 90 so that it will
be a backup.
