First of all, what revision are you trying to install? Second, are you attempting to install from CD or from a file? If you are using a CD, are you trying to boot from it?
As I understand it, the CallManager installation itself should work fine (post 3.1.0), but you will run into problems trying to use the Spirion install (that's the cds that are bootable) on non-Cisco blessed hardware.
