hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After today's long wrestling match with distribute-lists, I needed a good
laugh!!! :-> long live pointy haired bosses everywhere!!!!!!!

1) ip telephones will work just fine with a 2950 switch. But because the
switch doesn't supply in line power, you must also have the external power
blocks for the phones. You have to specify these when you order. Cisco
normally does not ship them with the phones.

2) you also need a Call Manager, which is an NT or Win2K server with the
Call Manager software installed. It is best you buy what Cisco recommends.
You can NOT just take any old Win server and make it a Call Manager. It MUST
be the Cisco OEM version of NT or Win2K

Pointy-hair should also know that for ten phones, VoIP is probably not worth
it. Not unless you have opportunity for significant savings due to toll
bypass, and have the equipment in place to do toll bypass.

Best wishes. Sincerely.
