We are considering new technologies that can substitute the layer 2
services provided by LANE.

Some of our clients have flat networks and use our LANE services acros a
WAN ATM backbone.

We are looking forward to change this layer 2 services to layer 3 services,
so we could avoid all problems concerned with layer 2 across WANs.

With MPLS VPN we could provide layer 3 services, but our clients need to
change their IP address (which we really want but will take some time).

Ethernet over MPLS seems to be on option for that clients while they move
to the new IP addressing structure.

I would be glad with any comments or experience reports on that.

Thanks in Advanced,

Alaerte
