I myself have found that if you do a show run in hyperterm, then hit enter a bunch of times and scroll up, the the scrambling above the window goes away. It's only between the shaded area and the white box. Once it's all in the shaded area, it should all be in order. Or you just just use SecureCRT, as well. :)
