Hi.. Thanks for all your help. I had solved this by reinstalling TCP/IP
service, everything work. May be it has some corruption. Sorry for
spending so much of your time. Thanks a lot

There are several things you can try.

First, disable the firewall on both machines. If this fixes the problem,
it's probably the firewall settings on one or both computers.

Second, get a linksys router. This is what I recommend cause they're so
damn easy to setup, it's rediculous.

Third, if you can't, for some reason, get a linksys router, get one of
those 'home newtorking kits'. They're rather expensive but hey, gotta do
whatcha gotta do.

Nate

Hi.. My friend told me he has enabled the "internet connection firewall"
under and "Local Area Connection Properties"->Advanced tab. Is there any
other firewall setting on Win XP. For eg "Personal Fireall" that you are
refering? If yes, where is it? Sorry I am not that familiar with XP.

Answer to Nathan: We got a request timed out

Disable the personal firewall!

Do you get a "Ping time out" or "Destination Unreachable"?
