Jim, I used:
1)  the official CWNA study guide available for $30US from.
http://www.cwne.com
It is an excellent resource and worth at least 3 times the price.
Regarding radio frequency mathematics, refer to the chart on page 33 (Figure
2.13).
You won't get a clearer explanation with examples in any other resource.

2) "802.11 Wireless Networks:  The definitive Guide" by Matthew S. Gast.
Get familiar with the frame formats.  It all makes sense when you compare
the fields.

3)And of course, the IEEE 802.11 specification documents.

It took me two tries. After failing I went out and bought Gast's book.
And I got more intimate with the IEEE 802.11, a, b, g specifications.
 I underestimated the level of difficulty and detail required.

Read the questions very very carefully.
