Hi all, we are in the middle of a VoIP deployment using H.323. I have configured the router to allow adequate bandwidth for each H.323 call based on the available codecs etc. That's the background.
My problem/issue centers around the interface statistics. When I do a show int fa0/1 summary command, the following output is given: *: interface is up IHQ: pkts in input hold queue IQD: pkts dropped from input queue OHQ: pkts in output hold queue OQD: pkts dropped from output queue RXBS: rx rate (bits/sec) RXPS: rx rate (pkts/sec) TXBS: tx rate (bits/sec) TXPS: tx rate (pkts/sec) TRTL: throttle count Interface IHQ IQD OHQ OQD RXBS RXPS TXBS TXPS TRTL ---------------------------------------------------------------------- * FastEthernet0/1 0 9748 0 3831 4000 9 0 0 0 Does anyone have any pointers to say why packets would be dropped from the input queue (This particular interface is interfacing with our ISP) and output queue? Also, why is teh tx rate at 0? Is it because at that point it was not transmitting anything? I guess there are many reason, but any help/experience would be appreciated. thanks for your help, Matthew.
