Dwayne, If you can check the network couters on your MAC - look for FCS error. If you have any, then this is a classic duplex mismatch. Second thing you can do is transfer a file to and from the workstation. I use FTP and issue a "get" and then a "put". Comparing the results will reveal a mismatch as well if the transfers are considerably different. It will also indicate which end is having the problem as well - send or recieve. ;)
You might have to hard set the speed and duplex on the switch and Mac stations if auto is not working for you.
