Neil, I'm a bit confused by your question. Your virtual-link should be part of the existing addressing scheme. The few things to note here will be as follows;
Where in relation to the RIP domain is the virtual-link? What is the mask(/) of the points that identify the virtual-link I would need some more information and a better understanding of your design to be able to provide a real solution.
