Any thoughts on that? ====================================================================================================== Is it possible to tune the medium buffer?
I did find how to tune the middle buffer on the Cisco pages, but nothing about medium buffer. Also, I do not have that option on the 6509 MSFC. The number of failures is very high, and that is why I want to tune it. router# sh buffers Buffer elements: 499 in free list (500 max allowed) 259222557 hits, 0 misses, 0 created Public buffer pools: Small buffers, 104 bytes (total 104, permanent 50, peak 115 @ 2w1d): 100 in free list (20 min, 150 max allowed) 94301657 hits, 427 misses, 389 trims, 443 created 12 failures (0 no memory) Medium buffers, 256 bytes (total 0, permanent 0, peak 28 @ 2w5d): 0 in free list (0 min, 0 max allowed) 389579 hits, 13921993 misses, 781250 trims, 781250 created 13531368 failures (0 no memory) cisco(config)#buff ?
