always check with your accountant on this. the rules can change suddenly, whenever the government needs more money ;-> as a profesional, you may be permitted to deduct the cost of training, certification, books, and other expenses which enable you to improve your job related skills. up to a certain ceiling. I believe as much as $2000, but your accountant should know the current numbers. IIRC, you may not deduct these costs if you are training for a new job or a change in careers. again, your accountant should be able to provide the details. if you are in business for yourself, i.e. a consultant, there are other tax advantages. a good accountant should be able to help you take advantage of the provisions of the tax code. > > Would usually do this offline, but since it affects everybody here I thought > it would be a constructive discussion for all. > > Thanks, > > Scott > CCIE #9340 Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=61842&t=61778 -------------------------------------------------- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
