Why not use LinNT? ... boot off of a linux floppy, reset admin password and boot up with new password.
Since you are (presumably) not trying to be sneaky _and_ you have direct access to the machine changing the PW should not be a problem, yes? Oh - and it is free, and works with WinNT4 - WinXP.
