Hi..
i am trying to configure a 1721 with wic 2 A/S for Async Dialin. i am
running the IOS 12.2 (c1700-y-mz.122-4.YA2.bin) the strange thing i see is
that there is no command to configure a Modem, i wanted to enter modem
autoconfigure discovery or modem autoconfigure type. it just does not allow
me to enter the command.
it is not detecting the modem where as the other router that i have 2600
does r8ecognise the modem.
see the output of modem ? command

CTS-Alarm Alarm device which only uses CTS for call control
DTR-active Leave DTR low unless line has an active incoming
connection
or EXEC
Dialin Configure line for a modern dial-in modem
Host Devices that expect an incoming modem call
InOut Configure line for incoming AND outgoing use of modem
Printer Devices that require DSR/CD active
answer-timeout Set interval between raising DTR and CTS response
dtr-delay Set interval during which DTR is held low
onhold Set the V.92 modem on hold timer duration
Router(config-line)#modem
Also the other part is if i load a different IOS the Card (WIC 2a/s) does
not get detected.
I checked 12.2 IOS command reference it mentions abt the usage of commands
that i have tried above.
has anyone faced a similar prob??
