I have two switches a 5k with a SUP engine III and a 2924. I configured two Vlans(1 and 2) on the 5k, 2924 is configured with the default Vlan of 1. I also configured my laptop with an address to belong to Vlan 1. I can ping both switches from my laptop, I can ping both switches from each end. BUT!!! I can not ping the laptop from either switch. I did a show Mac and both switches have the Mac for the laptop in there tables, again I can not ping the laptop. I am not at my lab right now to provide configs. I have been pondering this issue all morning. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
