The Cisco answer is hybrid, but that's a load of bullhocky. EIGRP is a DV protocol. Cisco marketing likes to call it a hybrid because it has some features that are also present in link state protocols, but they're not specifically link state features. EIGRP is NOT a link state protocol in any way. It is an advanced distance vector protocol. Period.
