Dear Citizendium-L subscribers,

Please forgive my silence, I was intending to do a longer list contribution
last night, but I've got a good excuse. After coverage by the Financial
Times and CNET News.com yesterday, the press has pounced on the Citizendium
story:

I've got over ten press inquiries in my box this morning. So, I've received
special permission from the Chronicle of Higher Ed reporter to release our
press release. Here it is:

http://www.citizendium.org/release_001.html

As a result, we've now got well over 100 applications for all positions,
including over 50 quite plausible editor applications. The wiki should be
set up, say, today or tomorrow. But I am unwilling to make promises,
because, y'know, our hard-working and amazingly talented tech guys are doing
a very conscientious job, and they're, um, working for free. :-) (But
then, so am I, at this point.)

You should be aware that we do intend to do our initial pilot project launch
with around 20 people, who will help me set things up for the larger and
newer group of participants. I want this set up period to take 4-7 days.
