All,

I'm going to hope that maybe we can find a good volunteer to serve as
"Webmaster and Blog Wrangler." Anyone interested? Read on.

This person will essentially maintain the public face of the project, and so
would:

* keep citizendium.org up-to-date; maintain the FAQ; solicit and maintain
updates to other pages; and stuff like that

* work with other volunteers on Web design (like, OK, so citizendium.org
isn't exactly the best-designed website right now :-) but it does the job;
bear in mind we *do already* have a Web designer whose work I'm expecting
soon)

* wrangle together a dozen or so blog posters for the new Citizendium blog
(from within the group of people actually working on it); either do a
simple, elegant blog design, or else find someone to do that (WordPress);
and take the lead in posting news about CZ and about related developments

The main requirements are:

* First and foremost, excellent writing and analytic ability; ability to
explain complicated concepts simply and engagingly; a college degree will
help here, but isn't strictly necessary; writing samples (e.g., links to
stuff you've done) would be nice

* Firm commitment to http://www.citizendium.org/fundamentals.html

* Strong desire to be a part of the group working on the project (to report
about what's going on, you need to be able articulate

* Decent HTML abilities

* Experience blogging, WordPress a plus

No offence to anyone, I hope, but I am not particularly interested in
traditional marketing people for this job. I am more interested in
highly-motivated philosophers and other thinkers, frankly--i.e., someone who
really *groks* (and likes) what's happening and can report on it faithfully,
and who is also gets the culture of openness that this sort of project
requires. People who think that "company information" should be very
carefully managed should not apply.

For this post, please mail your resume to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and (to
distinguish it from all the others) title it "Webmaster and Blog Wrangler."
Thanks!

BTW we are also still looking for more Citizendium-L moderator
candidates...mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
