All, I have a couple interesting items. I've been remiss in reporting everything that's going on (it's been a lot) but these are brand new to many of you so I'd like to get it "out there."
First, I'm working with two different academic groups on getting invited, signed articles (that already exist, or soon will) into CZ, as *prototypes* of a new type of initiative. I'll announce the names of the groups after we have closed the deals. The notion is that the invited articles might live on subpages, like this: http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/Online_community/Invited_articles Second, if in fact we do take on board invited articles--a matter that the Editorial Council must approve--it occurs to me that this could wind up being good not only for recruitment, but also for content. I mean, particularly, that *some* academics might be happy to give up their exclusive rights to edit *a* copy of their article, which might live in the main namespace, just as long as we *also* host a signed original copy of their article. With subpages, we have the means to do so. We can then hold up the availability of that sort of contribution--signed, with the option of contributing to the common pool--as a nice recruitment tool, it seems to me.
