All,

Thirty people came to the party and said they wrote 40 new articles

http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Monthly_Write-a-Thon

and made many edits, but our New Pages log,

http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/Special:Newpages

shows that the total number of new articles during the whole New
Zealand-to-Hawaii August 1 period easily topped 65. Exactly how many of
the articles were created when it was August 1 in the creator's time
zone? Don't know. Anyway, it was a very significant boost over our
usual daily output--well over double the average Wednesday. And our
total page edits were probably double our usual; mainspace edits alone
are well over 500 in the last 24 hours alone.

And I would like to point out that this work is entirely sans coping
with vandalism or the other sorts of community disruption one sees on
other wikis. Aleks Stos, math editor and compiler of statistics, and by
the way a new constable, has crunched some numbers and says (pending
further investigation) there are about four million words in Citizendium
articles so far, with a median word count of 568--remarkably good, I'd
say, for a new wiki. And far better, I'd like to point out, than
Wikipedia's median after 10 months.

It was a great little get-together. Count on the next one being held
the first Wednesday of September (the 5th).
