This function also is intended to include those that also may define business processes. General Profile: - Reviews the work of others. - Develops innovative approaches. - Sought out as expert. - Serves as a leader/ mentor. Primary Responsibilities: • Evaluate business requirements and prepare detailed technical specifications that follow project guidelines to ensure development staff code to specifications. • Conduct analysis of alternatives, recommendations and data mapping. • Assist in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding. • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. • Creation of test plans to test, debug, and document those programs. Work closely with development staff to remediate all issues identified during testing • Demonstrates leadership by coordinating the requirements, specifications, and design and testing efforts for small to large projects. • Analyze existing system logic difficulties, document and work with development staff to resolve • Generate innovative ideas to resolve problems. • Completion phase of the project to ensure success. • Assist in training junior level personnel in technical complexities of assigned work. • Provide support for break/fix issues related to internally developed applications and reports through trouble-shooting, problem analysis and working with the appropriate staff to resolve issues through testing and feedback • Ability to manage small to medium size projects Qualifications: • BS degree in computer or business related field or equivalent experience. • Experience in applications systems analysis. • Exhibits and applies comprehensive knowledge of systems analysis to the completion of challenging assignments. • Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis • Exhibits and is able to demonstrate the relationship of data structures as they relate to systems. • Understanding of technological infrastructure and how it relates to projects. • Firm understanding of the problems and issues of clients, the industry and the business environment. • Highly effective communication skills with all levels of internal and external customers and staff. • Ability to work through the analysis phase of the application development life cycle. • Strong facilitation skills to gain customer requirements. • Strong problem solving, interviewing and fact finding skills. • Frequent consultation with company senior leaders and/or outside vendors on complex issues having impact across segment/Company. • Effectively and comfortable interacts with upper management. • Considers alternatives and consequences before making a decision. • Acts decisively when required.
