*****Immediately Needed A Consultant***** Application System Engineer Location : San Francisco CA (Local or Near By) Duration : 3-6 Months Contract Description: The Application Systems Engineer 5 candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of multiple technical disciplines as well as strong communications skills. The candidate must have the drive and experience to independently research, analyze and track critical Open Financial Exchange operations. Responsibilities also include application level functional support, monitoring, report creation and working with line of business proponents and technology teams to gather and execute reporting requirements. Daily hands-on investigation and research activities include: • Identify resolution to production application issues related to development code, database or transactions. • Daily research of issues and propose remediation relating to OFX functionality • Provide technical systems support within Internet Services Development to track and report application performance. Candidate may be called upon to represent group in meetings with senior managers. Duties may include one or more of the following: • 4th level application support • Issues analysis and remediation • Create or modify scripts, queries, parameters to extract performance data from production environment • Supporting operating and service level agreement criteria • Recommend changes to assure OLA/SLAs can be supported • Analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements • Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas • Create and analyze performance metrics and trends • Possible 7x24 rotational after-hour support Minimum Qualification Candidate must be able to query and analyze data from multiple applications types and databases utilizing Wells Fargo standard tools as well as customize scripts to isolate and resolve production issues. Systems include Windows, Solaris/Unix and Oracle Databases. 7 years technical background and with minimum 3-4 years directly related to production support of a Web / Internet application. 4-7 years of experience as a Web developer / Software Developer or similar capacity. Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent experience. Required Skills J2EE, .Net, Web services, Perl, SQL, C++, Java, XML Experience supporting of J2EE and .NET technology production stack. Proven experience in supporting application functionality on Linux and/or Solaris systems. Proven experience in supporting and diagnosing application code/functional issues on Windows production systems. Demonstrable knowledge of Unix and Windows server administration commands and tools. Demonstrable knowledge of Web services, XML and related technologies. Strong analytical and diagnostic skills Ability to create technical documentation Excellent business communication skills are required. Desired Skills Familiarity with Open Financial Exchange (OFX) protocol and related technologies. SQL skills (Oracle and SQL Server). Financial Industry experience. Experience in Clear Case or other SCM products. Java and C# development skills.
