The environment is fast paced and hectic. Technology makeup is Cisco, Juniper, and F5 among others. · Must be able to pick up new technology quickly and be comfortable speaking to various product vendors. · Provide networking infrastructure assessment, planning, design and implementation. · Configure and install various network devices and service (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPN). · Architect and build the lab infrastructure in San Diego to support the production network. · Perform network maintenance and systems upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes and security configurations. · Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability. · Perform capacity planning and trending. · Provide support and troubleshooting. · Manage client relationships, vendor service and peer support in a team environment to meet or exceed service level agreement parameters. · Maintain familiarity with currently implemented and new technology, including new versions of software/firmware, implementation of upgrades, and changes to procedures/commands. · Provide clear communication and documentation of events, processes, procedures and configuration details.
