Job Title : Sr. Build Engineer Location : Mclean, VA Duration : 10 Month Contract *Must past high risk background-completely clearable* Environment Delivery - Provide the linkage between the project managers and the service delivery teams to ensure that Freddie Mac's IT environments are built correctly and on schedule. *BTI: * statement: This person is responsible for identifying all build requests. Tracking these requests on a master lists. Reviewing the request with the service lines to ensure that adequate resources are available. Adjust the schedule if resources are not available. Validating that all tasks required to complete a successful build are identified and executed. skill:Senior (7+ yrs) skills: Responsible for orchestrating the environment builds. Tracks all environments requests throughout the organization. Provides LOE (level of effort estimates) to build each environment. Maintains and reviews the master build schedule with affected service lines to identify resource constraints. Identifies all tasks required for each environment and works closely with the service lines to ensure timely completion and with the Project Managers (PMs) to ensure that expectations are being met. Identifies opportunities for improvements to the build times or staff time required to complete builds. Expertise required in PlanView, Remedy, building Windows/Unix servers, PwoerPoint and Excel. Expertise desired in building DB environments, middleware instances, storage, facilities and network. Experience as a PM, PMP and/or ITIL certifications desirable. Must be able understand engineering documents and determine the tasks, teams and time required to build new environments. Must be highly organized and able to work closely with technical staff, project managers and technical management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. College Degree or equivalent experience with 7 or more years of related work experience is required.
