Client : Comcast Sr .NET Developer- 23272 Location: Philadelphia, PA Duration: Ongoing Interview : Face to Face Job description : Full stack web application engineer Overview The Site Platform Architecture team of eBusiness Services is responsible for the end to end architecture that comprises various web and mobile customer and prospective customer interaction channels, most notably xfinity.com. As part of the Site Platform Architecture group, this role will work with the full technology stack to develop features in web applications that integrate back-end systems with the web UI using an MVC architecture as a member of a development team. This group is responsible for building cutting-edge responsive web applications for e-commerce websites that are integrated into the Sitecore CMS and back-end systems using ASP.NET (C#), Mongo DB, and SQL Server. Core Responsibilities: Collaborate as part of a development team to design and enhance large scale, customer-facing web applications developed on the existing eBusiness platform framework, which is built on the Microsoft technology stack ( ASP.NET/C#/MVC, SQL Server) with Sitecore CMS. Develop / update web services, MVC controllers and associated libraries / classes and data sources. Ensure all deliverables comply with standards & best practices for all layers of ASP.NET web applications (client-side, application, back-end service / data stores). Fully adopt the agile mythology – actively participate in all ceremonies, review user stories, participate in planning sessions, estimate effort for stories / tasks, etc. Analyze and optimize the performance of back-end service calls and browser requests for HTML. Actively support all activities relating release preparation through deployment including the resolution of any defects in production. Knowledge and experience using Knockout or React.js Integrating web pages / components and back-end services with Sitecore or other CMS a plus Working in environments that fully embrace the Agile methodology and DevOps model a plus Qualifications: 4+ years working with the full Microsoft technology stack (SQL Server, C#, WCF, ASP.NET) and associated IDE / tools (Visual Studio, TFS). 4+ years building high-traffic, public-facing ASP.NET responsive web applications (for desktop and mobile devices). 4+ years authoring and modifying HTML / CSS following industry best practices for cross-browser and device support. 3+ years architecting / building with ASP.NET MVC 3.0 (or later) and Razor. 3+ years building web services and integrating public-facing web pages / components with back-end services. 3+ years experience developing solutions with native / plain vanilla JS and JavaScript UI technologies - JQuery, AJAX and JSON (including the consumption of back-end / web service technologies – REST, XML). Proficient use of Visual Studio / Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Git. Experience with Mongo DB a plus Experience working on a team in a large development group.
