We are currently working on filling an exciting new contract opportunity for an *BI Developer *position that will be based out in *Neenah, WI*. *Job Title: Business Intelligence (BI) Developer* *Location: Neenah, WI* *Duration: 6+ Months* *POSITION SUMMARY* This position provides leadership and technical expertise in the development and support of information management, business intelligence and data warehouse solutions. A strong technical background/experience is required to provide direction in solution design/delivery using Microsoft SQL Server tool suite. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. · Lead implementation of information management, business intelligence and data warehouse solutions from technical design through deployment. · Develop and implement technical designs that utilize industry best practices to implement data, ETL and information delivery solutions that meet business requirements. · Provide support and verify quality through all stages of solution implementation. Ensure that the quality, security, stability and agility of the solution meet evolving business needs. · Leverage core system capabilities and innovative ideas to continually improve current practices. · Make technical and process improvement recommendations. · Work with business analysts and internal business customers to translate business requirements into BI application designs and solutions. · Evaluate alternate solutions and design processes and systems which include user impact considerations, cost and benefit analysis, and processing specifications. · Assist in the definition of the database requirements; analyze existing models and reports looking for opportunities to improve their efficiency; and resolve technical problems. · Extract data from multiple operational and financial sources and assemble them into meaningful business intelligence data assets. · Perform all SDLC phases related to extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server stored procedures within MS SQL Server environment. · Create and maintain data flow diagrams for existing and future ETL processes. · Create and maintain detailed source-to-target ETL mapping specifications. · Develop optimized SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and database views. · Develop and maintain complex reports, multidimensional cubes and flexible dashboards. · Develop ETL audit process and controls to ensure data quality is compliant with defined standards and thresholds. *REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABLITIES* · Strong ETL and Report development skills using T-SQL Stored Procedures, SSRS, and SSIS · Strong data analysis skills · Strong troubleshooting ability · Ability to work independently · Working knowledge of source control and related processes (SVN) · Working knowledge of Agile or Iterative development processes · Advanced analysis and design techniques to evaluate and resolve complex business problems. · Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments concurrently while maintaining high levels of quality and effectiveness · Effective facilitator of technical decisions. Comfortable with working through ambiguous initiatives to develop effective solutions · Ability to work with business analysts and SMEs to refine detailed requirements. · Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization *PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES* · Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 product suite · Agile Project Methodology experience · Microsoft SharePoint Online · Property and Casualty insurance industry knowledge · Guidewire Insurance Suite experience *Regards,* Sonoma Consulting, Inc.
