Position: AIX System Engineer Location: Salisbury, NC Duration: 5 Months Contract
*Only Local Candidates* Telephone Interview Description: Required Technical Skills and Experience Skills Required • 8 years experience as an AIX system engineer or administrator. • Experience designing, developing, delivering, and optimizing AIX and dependent applications. • Expert level knowledge and experience with at least one of the following: Power VM, VIO Servers, Live Partition Mobility, and Power VC. • Experience supporting vendor delivered software products like FileNet P8 and PeopleSoft HCM. • Proven experience with creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting shell scripts. • Advanced knowledge of network virtualization using Power VM, virtual network switches, and VLAN trunking. • Proven experience designing, creating, and maintaining NIM servers. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Experience supporting GPFS (IBM Spectrum Scale) and Power VP. • Proven experience delivering computing services within a project management framework.
