This is a 12 months contract with potential extensions in Ashburn, VA. *The required skills for this role is: *Cloud Computing, HP OpenStack, OSPF, and BGP * RESPONSIBILITIES: •Work closely with Global Network Engineering, Global Network Architecture and Global Network Operations teams to develop comprehensive test plans; perform testing and certify results for new network hardware, software (complete IOS or patches) and WAN technologies. •Provide support and work closely with Application and/or Systems teams to perform network integration testing for new hardware and/or software releases. •Work closely with project managers to complete testing and certification on time without impact to documented project timelines. •Install and maintain network hardware and software in the Global Test Engineering and Certification lab and/or sandbox environments. •When required follow all documented Change Control process requirements to implement changes in the test environment. •Assist Global Network Engineering and Global Network Operations teams to perform network testing related to network operational outages. QUALIFICATIONS: •A Bachelor's degree is preferred for this position. A degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology or related Computer Engineering field. •At least 5 years of experience in a network engineering design and/or support role. •Previous network testing and certification experience, working in a network lab environment is desired. •Technical expertise with using network testing hardware and software such as iXia and Spirent for LAN/WAN simulation, traffic generation and impairment analysis is desired. •Technical Expertise in IP networking and extensive knowledge of technologies such as MPLS, VPN, ATM, Frame Relay, load balancing, Wireless, SDN and NFV. •Technical Expertise in Cloud Computing and Client OpenStack. •Extensive knowledge of network hardware/OS including proven experience with vendors such as Cisco, Junos, Arista, F5, Client and Dell is required. Network vendor certifications are preferred. •Experience and expertise with IP routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF and BGP.
