*Hi,* Hope you are doing well, Please find the below requirement and if you are comfortable and interested please send your updated profile along with below details ASAP to move forward with submission process. *Job Description: Production Control Analyst- Mid levelLocation: Reston, VADuration: 6-12 Months Contract* *Job Description:* - Manages and controls the processing of programs and batch jobs to ensure the highest levels of service and system availability are attained. - Develops schedules for production jobs according to customer requirements. - Establishes instructions for execution of jobs and ensures appropriate documentation. - Performs job definition, set-up and execution. - Performs job recovery procedures and ensures appropriate follow-up actions, escalation and resolution. - Communicates status of production operations to allow for both immediate response to incidents and for long term process improvements. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:* - Meet established service level objectives through management of Production Control daily operations, which includes: automated and manual processing of batch jobs (Flux, Java, and Cobol); automated and manual transmission of electronic data to and from vendors and institutions (SecureTransport, FTP); and management of exception handling, notification and escalation. - Work closely with all Infrastructure teams to ensure the integrity of the production environment with efficient utilization of Infrastructure resources related to production processing. - This includes, but is not limited to: regularly scheduled maintenance to keep system downtime to a minimum; utilizing available resources to maximize throughput; monitoring system and job performance; detecting and troubleshooting any hardware, software or operating system problems; performing routine tasks and emergency system maintenance, as needed; supporting - deployments; maintaining batch templates; operational testing of batch jobs; tracking success and failure statistics; root cause problem determination; reporting on incidents; identifying areas for efficiency improvement. - Provide production status reports to appropriate departments within The College Board, and also to vendors as required. - Develop, maintain, communicate and implement written processes and procedures related to all aspects of Production Control. - Create, document, communicate, implement and support batch job requirements to ensure efficient and accurate batch processing and statistical reporting. - Document and execute test plans according to the defined testing approach. - Organize and lead meetings for topics including but not limited to: recommended enhancements to batch processing, monitoring, processes and procedures, policies; reviewing batch templates; root cause and resolution analysis; training sessions on tools supported by Production Control. - Work with the existing College Board systems and program staff to establish policies and procedures necessary to: ensure accurate and timely processing of products and services, deliver well-provided customer support, communicate and implement changes according to defined processes. - Support implementation efforts of infrastructure upgrades/enhancements and perform regularly scheduled maintenance to keep system downtime to a minimum. - Provide expertise in problem definition, capacity planning and the general design and integration of systems and COTS packages. - Develop increasing expertise in key technologies for production services, focusing on three-tiered, web- based solutions. - Develop an increasing appreciation for technologies and architectures, including: enterprise architecture strategies, deployment of best practices, architecture and component performance and operational testing, hosting strategies, and ITIL Service Management processes. - Solicit and share information in order to provide support to third parties regarding the use, understanding, design, and implementation of College Board products, providing end user and on-site support when required. - Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings and implement controls to ensure rapid satisfactory resolution of all customer issues. - Perform other assignments as required in support of assigned competency level in this area. - Should be willing to work off hours. - While upholding the standards supported by Infrastructure’s current architecture; manages the running and scheduling of batch jobs via the Enterprise Job Scheduling Tool according to Service Level Agreements and resource availability; manages exception handling, notification and escalation; and institutes the automation of file transfers - via the Enterprise File Transfer Tool. *Required Skills:* • Strong understanding of System design and integration. • Strong technical knowledge in Unix operating system. • Strong UNIX Shell Scripting experience (KORN). • Strong experience in informatica ETL • Basic SQL skills • Strong communication skills. • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously. • Project Management skills. • Problem solving and analytic skills. • Good technical writing skills. • Ability to be successful in a team environment. • Ability to participate in the on-call process, readiness to work off hours in known peak processing periods. • Understanding of the academic environment. • Understanding of security. • Strong customer service orientation. *Preferred Skills:*Intermediate SQL Skills Appian workflow experience *Education/Certifications:* Bachelor’s Degree desired.
