I look forward to hearing from you. *Job Title:* Technical Support Analyst *Location: *Northern, NJ *Job Type*: Contract *Duration*: 6+ months LOCALS ONLY! phone+ f2f *JOB SUMMARY & SCOPE:* · The candidate for the TSS Analyst position will provide, under limited supervision, technical support of personal computers (PCs), Macs, laptops and printers in a network environment. · This will include the delivery, installation and setup of such systems in the end-user community within our location. · This will include installation of approved software as well as the diagnostics of basic hardware and software problems encountered by the end-users. *DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* · Provide Tier 2 support in the operation and management of Mac/Windows desktops/laptops · Manage various types of medium-to-complex project initiatives, upgrades and maintenance activities · Monitor our support call queue for new support calls and respond accordingly · Troubleshoot system/application issues of medium to high level complexity and escalate issues appropriately · Develop utilities to streamline standards and deployments methodologies · Work with external vendors to resolve hardware and software issues · Configure Mac/PC's for new hires · Install software requested by the business · Development and deployment of unattended operating system installations for workstations/desktops/laptops · Support Moves, Adds and Changes related to our corporate environment · Work with end-users to develop an understanding of their business requirements · Update project database to keep Senior management aware of changes · Create and modify support documentation as related to the corporate infrastructure · Application, Hardware and Operating System lifecycle management including upgrades, patching and off-hours maintenance activities · Propose, design and implement enhancements and additions to the current environment *QUALIFYING EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:* · BA/BS in Business or Computer Science or AA with minimum of 4-6 years related work experience · Strong understanding of networking, infrastructure and client side architectures, software lifecycle and system design · Advanced level troubleshooting skills within the desktop environment · Excellent written, verbal communication skills as well as people skills · Strong Documentation skills · Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and in a collaborative team environment · Able to adapt in a fast paced constantly changing environment · Excellent time management and organizational skills · Very strong Mac hardware and software troubleshooting skills · In depth knowledge of OSX and Microsoft Office Suites · Experience of integrating Mac into a Wintel environment · Proven experience of business continuity, storage & capacity planning, asset management, service transition, service integration and change management · A general understanding of networking: DNS, DHCP & Proxy servers · A good understanding of windows server technologies and knowledge of using group policies to manage windows and Mac OSX clients & experience of deploying Mac OSX within a 400+ user base · A detailed knowledge of Mac OS management, shell scripting, Adobe Creative Suite, Quark Express, Final Cut, MS Office for Mac, font management & administrative tools such as Universal Type server.
