Location: Chicago, IL Start: ASAP QA/Testing Description: The upgrade is not a re-implementation of GATX’s SAP install but a technical upgrade, fixing any custom coding (of which we have many) that breaks in the process. Taking advantage of any new capabilities of SAP 6.0 will come in future initiatives. The QA resource will lead the QA effort on the SAP 6.0 project, will be the sole QA resource dedicated to the project and will need to have the following skills and qualifications; 1. Extensive experience of SAP SD and SAP MM 2. Extensive automated testing experience and knowledge of an automated testing tool. 1. Detail oriented and organized, with a meticulous approach to work 2. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills. 3. High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision. Subsequent to the stabilization of the SAP 6.0 environment in Production and the completion of updating the current automated test scripts, the QA resource will support the SAP 6.0 environment and initiatives, and will be called upon to participate in projects on other platforms. Mainly custom development of applications using JAVA and following an Agile delivery methodology. I am looking to start this position as a contract to hire with a view to converting to permanent staff after 6 months. QA Activities: All services are related to providing quality assurance support on legacy applications and applications under development, across a number of technical platforms. The consultant is required to analyze business requirements and functional specifications in order to develop, maintain, and execute software tests which validate software. Manage testing and quality assurance deliverables and ensure established quality assurance standards are followed. a) *Software Testing * · Work with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Business Users to understand and interpret software requirements · Work with the Developers, Business Analysts and Data Architects to design and execute comprehensive tests on new or modified software programs and applications. Report and track defects until they are resolved.
