The position requires a broad foundation of IT architectural experience with an understanding of hybrid cloud technologies and hands on experience with operations and support of enterprise networks. This position is expected to be the last level of technical escalation within the company for the assigned responsibilities. The successful candidate will: • Lead the technical direction of establishing a sustainable and secure cloud footprint through superior product evaluation and selection methods • Understand the current technology landscape and anticipate shifts to provide secure, stable and flexible options for Client • Work as part of a team support of all facets of new technologies deployments under the Infrastructure Planning Departmental responsibilities. These include Remote Access, Windows Infrastructure including patching, corporate device selection and security infrastructure. • Provide sound technical solution for IR Applications Owners and Business Units • Participate in planning sessions. • Develop visual diagrams and project work plans. • Have a familiarity with collecting and interpreting various logs and traces for performance and/or troubleshooting analysis. • Have strong troubleshooting skills and a personal drive to remediate any issues. Skills & Requirements Core Client is seeking an experienced IT Architect to join our Infrastructure Planning team within the Information Technology Planning (ITP) group. ITP is part of a centralized IT organization and is responsible for the evaluation, planning, design, and implementation for all of the corporation's infrastructure components. This is a senior technical position with responsibilities for leading the investigating and integrating new technologies seamlessly into the existing corporate infrastructure. The candidate should possess: • Experience with private cloud and a working knowledge of public and hybrid cloud technologies and issues • 5 years of relevant work experience in the server and storage technologies with a proven track record of evaluating and implementing new technologies • 2 years of architectural design and planning experience • A working knowledge of security and remote access technology used to manage and secure corporate resources and interface AD to external entities • Programming and script development for management tools and automation is highly desirable. • Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments in a fast paced environment and under pressure • Sound judgment to render sound technical and business decisions • Strong attention to detail • Proven experience demonstrating excellent team skills with internal and external clients • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across a levels of personnel and management • Strong presentation skills The following are not required for this position but would be considered as a valuable asset in a potential candidate. Additional: • Bachelor of Science required. Masters of Science preferred. • Experience with network services including Windows Active Directory (AD), DNS, WINS, and DHCP with emphasis on AD design and administration is a plus. • A working knowledge of SAN technology including storage devices, networking protocols, sizing, and performance management is a plus. Other Requirements: • Must have a valid driver's license.
