Phone interview + In-Person *Location:* * Eden Prairie, MN | Hartford, CT **Position:* * Quality Assurance with EDI **Contract:** Contract / CTH* *Duration:** 12 months* *Description:* Highlighted areas are very important Primary responsibilities will include: • Responsible for System and Integration testing complex healthcare web based application, REST api's and webservices. • Responsible to test Healthcare EDI transactions such as 274, 834, 835, 837 etc. in X12, XML, JSON file formats. • Partner with Scrum Master, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts and Developers to develop detailed test plan in an Agile software development environment. • Actively participate in Agile User Story grooming sessions, Sprint planning discussions, by providing input to testing tasks and estimates. • Responsible for identifying testing requirements by analyzing user stories, create test plan, develop test cases/scenarios, setup supporting test data and execute test cases manually and using automated tools as well. • Generate periodic test reports showing test metrics (defects trending, planned vs actual testing progress). • Come up with innovative ideas to resolve complex software integration issues. • Participate in analysis and design walkthroughs, as well as project meetings. • Ensure process improvement opportunity items are documented and communicated with the broader project team. • Comply with standards of the software development life cycle and agile processes. • Meet or exceed all defined target test goals and milestone dates for the project in order to ensure its overall success. Qualifications Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in engineering. • 5+ years of experience in Systems-Integration testing in an Agile software development environment. • 3+ years of experience working with X12/XML/JSON, Flat/Delimited files, MQ messages, web service testing. • 2+ years of writing SQL scripts, database concepts, MS Excel/Access • 1+ years of experience working with UNIX, QTP, any ETL data mapping/transformation tools. • Exposure to incremental agile software development methodologies. Prior experiences in working closely with Developers and SA's in solving software defects • Strong troubleshooting and reasoning skills; the ability to debug and resolve difficult technical problems. • Ability to work independently. • Ability to anticipate problems proactively and take appropriate actions to mitigate negative impact. • Experience in creating and implementing test methodologies, processes, and associated tools. • Experience driving and coordinating test by working with other test engineers and development team members.
