*Position details: * Cross line of business Unix SA support Part of a team providing 24x7 level 1 and 2 support for Investment bank application servers. Linux and Solaris is the main required primary operating system expertise, but with the opportunity to work on AIX. Monitor and triage alert streams, sometimes repairing issues and sometimes diagnosing and escalating. Provide operating system maintenance, execute releases. Required Skills: 6+ years Sun Solaris Systems Administration (8 & 10), supporting sun servers in a large scale environment. 3+ years Red Hat Linux System Administration Strong working experience with Veritas Volume Manager and Vertias Cluster Server. Experience with some or all of the following Sun T2000, v480/490, e15k, Fujitsu, and HP Proliant DL 5xx series HW Strong performance performance analysis, tuning and trending Strong problem analysis and resolution skills Strong knowledge of hardware and software configurations, including clustering technologies and multi-domain systems Candidates need to be able to function in a fast paced, high pressure environment, some weekend work required.
