*Position: MSBI Data Architect  *

Location: Baltimore, MD
Duration: 10++ months



*Duties and Responsibilities:*



**** MUST have strong SQL Server experience*



   - Develops conceptual, logical, and physical data models
   - Continuously improves database schema in support of the requirements
   - Works with the Development Team in an Agile/Scrum environment
   - Ensures database design promotes modularity, portability, privacy, and
   security
   - Researches, reviews, and analyses the effectiveness and efficiency of
   existing reporting procedures and systems and develops strategies for
   enhancing or leveraging these processes and systems
   - Works directly with decision makers and end users to understand,
   define, and document current and possible future reporting goals, needs,
   and requirements.
   - Retrieves and utilizes information from external systems and other
   data sources as required and develops and implements ETL routines
   - Designs reports for performance, data quality, and
   simplicity/maintainability, and articulates trade-offs as appropriate.
   - Supports data migration and resolves issues related to validation,
   clean-up and mapping
   - Develops and implements data backup and recovery processes


   - Develops a security model to keep data secure from viruses and attacks
   - Assists the team with capacity planning

*Education and Years of Experience:   *

Eight (8) years of technical experience in data analysis, design, and
architecture



*Minimum Education: *

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.



*Required Skills/Certification:*



   - Data Analysis
   - Database Design
   - Data Migration
   - Data Integration
   - Database modeling using a tool such as Erwin
   - Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment
   - Ability to troubleshoot data related issues in Production



*Desired Skills/Certifications:*

   - Tableau
   - Power BI
