ROLE: Java developer DURATION: About 6+ Months LOCATION: Brooklyn, NY Elasticsearch software is mandatory Job description: • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Java/J2EE development building large-scale enterprise web applications • Experience with Elasticsearch software is mandatory. • Extensive experience with Spring and Hibernate. • Strong Experience in MVC and using other design patterns. • Strong knowledge of data integration technologies and processes; • Knowledge of Apache Storm Event Processing software. • Experience with formal SDLCs and development methodologies. • Experience with Ant. • Experience with Oracle WebLogic 10.x+ or similar application server. • Experience with testing tools and techniques such as JUnit and continuous integration. • Knowledge of HTML, XML, JavaScript and CSS. • Knowledge of secure coding standards and best practices. • Must be a team player. Must take initiative, be a decisive decision-maker and show confidence in decisions made • Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance. • Must have experience with Subversion or CVS • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders. • Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources. • Solid Experience with relational databases preferably Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server. • Solid experience in XML Technologies (XML, XSL, XSD). • Solid knowledge of testing tools and techniques. • Must be able to provide documentation on their work Desirable Skill/Expertise • Knowledge of NYC Government culture.
