The specialist support team will provide a single point of contact for End to End proactive support of all Linux servers, utilizing correlated data sources with predictive analytics to ensure maximum operational uptime and adherence to SLOs and SLAs. Providing seamless integration to IaaS & Enterprise service providers, with specialist knowledge in operating within virtualized infrastructure with a strong focus on event automation for Operational efficiencies and population of the Known Error Database (KEDB) Required Skills: * Deep knowledge of RedHat Linux RHEL4-7, Solaris 9, 10 * Expert understanding of virtual environments - VMWare and OpenStack * Deep Experienced and knowledgeable in VCS clustering solutions for RedHat Linux, and Red Hat Cluster Services * Expert knowledge of thin provisioning management * Expert knowledge of performance management * Deep Experienced and knowledgeable with IBM X Series, HP ProLiant, Sun Sparc, Dell, and Sun x84 Hardware Platforms * Experience with Shell Scripting (bash, ksh, etc), Perl. Experience with Ruby / Python a plus. * Knowledge and experience supporting core systems and storage platform services in which the infrastructure is dependent (DNS, Active Directory, NTP,PTP, EFS, SMTP, NIS, stateless boot, High speed NAS, RH clustering, Solid State disks, PXE) * Automation Scripting Strong: Creation of workflows and automation scripting * Network Operations Strong: - Software Defined Networks technologies, Firewalls, LoadBalancing Required Competencies: * Experience with supporting a large enterprise environment consisting of a thousands of servers * BS in Computer Science preferred 4-year degree or equivalent experience required. * Good Communication skills - Will interface directly with Infrastructure Support Teams, Development teams, and Business Technology Teams on a daily basis * Good Coordination skills - will coordinate any necessary remediation, improvement, upgrade efforts related to the Unix Infrastructure * Experience in diagnosing, researching and resolving any system platform related issues. * Experience in performance analysis and troubleshooting. Able to quickly identify network or infrastructure related problems and manage the remediation/escalation.
