*Job Title* Oracle DMA - Exadata *Project Location* Oaks PA *Duration* 6 months /Contract To Hire * Skills Required and Job Description:* *Moi = Telephonic + Skype* *USC OR GC ONLY* Exadata is an appliance which has servers inside it , and it is so intertwined with database and packaged that DBA¿s role will be not just DATABASES but they would also have to manage the servers as well and they are called DATABASE MACHINE ADMINISTRATOR , and these hosts are linux OS so having linux administration experience little bit And experience with machine administration like creating disks , recovery of the machine itself is a kind of un told necessity for EXADATA administration. *The Oracle Database Machine administrator (DMA) role is responsible for administering all aspects of the hybrid Oracle database server hosting environment on Exadata hardware as well as traditional server/storage hardware, as well as displaying ownership and technical proficiency in the following areas:* · Manages all aspects of the Oracle Exadata hardware platform including server, storage cell and database configuration and administration. · Install, configure and administer Oracle RAC clusters, including the design, configuration and operation of n-node clusters, data recovery, and user/group/role definition. · Responsible for managing the lifecycle of the Oracle database platform across DEV, UAT and Production. · OLTP, OLAP, Staging, and Data warehouse configurations · Responsible for ensuring databases are backed up per policy and can be restored successfully. · Analysis and enhancement using high availability, performance and scalability techniques · Analysis and performance tuning of databases and SQL queries. · Coordinate with infrastructure teams like Network, Compute and Storage for delivery of functional database clusters. · Work with application teams to test and ensure that applications are configured to be RAC compliant and support database failover configurations. · Implement patches, updates, and fixes as necessary following established Change Management processes · Provide input to and follow standards and best practices as defined by the vendor and other SEI teams · Work with team members to provide 24X7 production support · Liaison with other SEI teams to address issues related to other infrastructure components · Develop scripts/utilities to automate repetitive tasks, i.e. backups, refreshes · Design databases for Disaster recovery using Data Gaurd configuration and participate/automate disaster recovery procedures. · Familiar with SAFe (Scaled Agile) methodologies and responsible for supporting development teams in an agile environment. · Other duties as necessary *Position Requirements * · BA/BS in a related technical field or the equivalent in education and work experience · At least 10 years of experience in Information Technology with demonstrable competence in an engineering role supporting Oracle database in a heterogeneous enterprise environment, preferably within financial management organization · Experience managing all aspects of an Exadata platform. · Experience with Oracle 11g,12c · Experience with SQL Server · Experience with replication technologies ( Golden Gate, CDC) · Experience / Knowledge of the Big Data technologies · Strong track record supporting large and complex application delivery and development teams · Excellent communication skills · Excellent customer service and client management skills -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Citrix and Sap problems" group.
