If you find yourself comfortable with the requirement please reply back with your updated resume. *Job Role: VOD Engineer,* *Location: Atlanta, GA* *Duration: 1+ month with possible extension* *Job Description:* I would like to have an immediate search initiated for a seasoned (10+ year experienced) engineer with deep knowledge and expertise in monitoring and measuring performance of Cable TV Video services (Linear, VOD, etc.) from the servers to the Headend to the network, to the set top box, and from all dimensions of measurement (DOCSIS, RF, PreEqualization, etc..) The goal is to have this engineer engage and work with the Analytics team at Cox, to guide them through the process of understanding what and how to monitor live operational video performance from across the deliver ecosystem. This will result in a clear definition of the data and their sources which should be collected and monitored in order to gain an early view in to symptoms which ultimately result in video deliver problems (anticipatory).. Again this person who has real world experience In monitoring and diagnosing Cable TV Linear and VOD video and voice service performance will work with the Cox team to help to define at a detailed level what data is needed from which network elements to determine if there is a probability of a negative service event being trigger and what the corrective action recommendation would be etc..plus what type of database and technology would enable this type of solution.
