Job Title: Sr. .Java/J2EE Architect
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Duration: 4+ Months Contract
The consultant needs to be have to develop design solutions, but also be
willing to do some hands on development when needed. They have to have
strong soft skills, as they will be working with the business users on site
in Cincinnati and the off shore team. The team is not looking for a high
level Solutions architect.
Job Description:
. Define high level technical approaches in Java/J2EE/.NET/Oracle
database/Portal - BEA AquaLogic User Interaction/Oracle Webcenter
Interaction.
. Be a solution architect.
. Discuss with the team and the client on pros and cons of different
technical approaches.
. A technical go-to person for both client and the team for any high
level technical challenges.
. Key role in defining the framework for new requirements.
. Communicate and coordinate with distributed team.
. Suggest high level database design required for the application.
. Suggest/recommend appropriate frameworks where required - for
example for caching/notifications etc.
. Research for the solutions how to implement new requirements.
. Estimate the releases and manage scope with the client.
Qualifications:
. At least 4-5 years of experience developing/designing Java/J2EE
web applications.
. Database design experience is a plus - not required.
. Any .NET experience is a plus - not required.
. Oracle Application Development Framework or Spring experience is a
plus - not required.
. Strong technical aptitude and recommend different technical
approaches.
. Candidates must be s willing to adapt to a changing environment
and open to learning new technologies and techniques. Must possess
excellent
interpersonal skills, strong communication skills (written and
verbal), be team-oriented, technically motivated and creative, and user
oriented with a desire to learn the Company's business and portal
environment.
. Experience of working in Agile life cycle environment is a plus.
