*Description*

The SOA Systems Architect will be responsible for providing guidance in
design and development of the enterprise service architecture, and working
with the team to provide initial hands-on development support. In addition,
this position requires individual to communicate in formal presentation
settings including medium to large-sized groups of key decision-makers;
therefore, strong leadership and communications skills will be vital to the
success of this position. Finally, individual in this role is expected to
mentor junior and senior development resources to build a larger services
team.

*Responsibilities*

·         Guide design of the enterprise-wide services architecture that
will provide balanced foundation to manage continuous change requests while
maintaining conformity to the defined standards, re-using existing
components, and minimizing required level of changes to the service
consumers.

·         Provide specialized technical guidance in conceptualizing and
implementing SOA technologies across the enterprise, and establish the role
as a key SOA solutions expert

·         Provide expertise in applying SOA technologies through guidance
and hands-on development of frameworks, standards, and services ensuring
consistency and correctness across projects.

·         Lead SOA design activities and/or review SOA designs to ensure
that solutions will exhibit expected levels of performance, security,
scalability, maintainability, reusability, and reliability upon deployment

·         Guide the implementation of strategies and frameworks to deliver
high quality results in a timely manner with an emphasis on ease of use and
simplicity of design for the development teams and in general with SOA
Governance principles.

·         Provide mentoring and guidance to the team members actually doing
the hands on development integration projects.

*Required Skills\Experience *

This position requires a BS Degree in Computer Science. Advanced degrees
and Certifications preferred. The successful candidate will have good
experience in a related field with at least 3-5 years' experience in
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Architecture. Other
required experience includes:

·         Deep understanding of a wide array of architectures, design and
integration patterns including abstract factories, publisher-subscriber
patterns, and provider models. Experience with key enterprise integration
design patterns

·         Demonstrated success developing multi-tiered enterprise class SOA
applications, distributed database applications using Microsoft .NET in C#

·         Deep understanding of software development processes including
source control, build processes, continuous integration, automated testing.
Demonstrated experience defining, contributing to and enforcement of
software practices and standards including coding standards, project
practices, tool selection, etc.

·         Experienced leadership skills including technical leadership,
responsibility and authority, steering a team, assisting developers with
technical problems, development and debugging skills, technical coaching
and mentoring
