*Role: ETL Application Integration Architect *



Location: Greensborough, NC

Duration: 6+ Months





The role of an ETL and Application Integration Architect is to work with
the business and project team members to gather requirements, design and
document ETL and Integration processes.  It is their responsibility to work
with developers to assure design and implementation conforms to internal
standards, makes use of best practices and performs well.  Initial
responsibilities will be within the Business Intelligence area, but will
grow to encompass Master Data Management (MDM) as well as other systems
requiring application integration.



*Requirements*:

Bachelors’ Degree with at least 7 years of Data Management experience

Strong in SQL and Stored Procedures – DB2 Experience preferred

Good Unix and Shell Scripting skills

6+ Years of ETL architectural experience

4+ Year of Infosphere Integration Server (DataStage) experience

*Must* have deep technical experience with Metadata Workbench, DataStage,
QualityStage and Business Glossary

Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Service Bus
(ESB) methodologies is desired

Knowledge of XML related technologies is desired

Experience with Websphere Message Broker and other Websphere stack products
is a plus

Experience in the Apparel industry and SAP AFS is a plus



*Responsibilities*:

Work with Data Modelers, Business Analysts & Integration Architects to
create ETL and Integration design documents.

Provide site coordination & ongoing guidance, leadership and mentoring to
the development team (co-located & virtual teams)

Assist developers with troubleshooting activities.

Help coordinate and facilitate testing activities.

Support project managers with project planning and scheduling inputs
(tasks, estimates).

Support requirements gathering and analysis and design processes.

Support infrastructure teams with code migrations & deployment

Report progress to management and support risk and issue management
