Continuous integration and continuous deployment. Agile experience a plus. *Job Description: *1. An effective communicator. They need to be able to highlight a steel thread through one of their previous applications. I'm looking for a discussion of its architecture layers (presentation, service, data, etc.) and associated frameworks (struts, spring, hibernate, etc.). This activity provides a lot of insight about the candidate. 2. They should have experience in starting a new project from scratch. This keeps developers fresh on new technologies, processes, pattern, trends, etc. Production support of more than 2 to 3 years is tough since technology is blazing forward fast. 3. They should have a strong skill set working with a particular build scripting toolkit (Ant and/or Maven) and unit testing (JUnit) framework. Having some insight into continuous integration and continuous deployment would be great. 4. Independent, as well as, a team player. Willing to take the lead and drive the implementation. Solutions oriented providing multiple options and associated pros/cons. 5.
