Job Title : Linux Admin Location : Chicago, IL Duration : 6+months *!! NEED LOCAL !!* *!! Backfill Position !!* PROJECT DESCRIPTION This role will be serving as the Lead point of contact for the ongoing design, installation, configuration and day to day administration of enterprise Red Hat Linux servers that serve as the foundation for two of our client’s major lines of business. This role will be taking ownership of the Red Hat Linux Systems and will be the Lead in designing, implementing, configuring, deploying and providing senior-level administration for all the HA Red Hat Enterprise Linux Systems currently in production. Candidates will be primarily supporting Linux on HP Proliant DL-series storage servers General tasks will involved working with HP Insight Manager, Openview, Nimbus, Nagios or other monitoring platforms to proactively assess the health and performance of production systems. Providing a level of performance analysis and capacity planning for the dedicated infrastructure environment Handling all O/S System upgrades, migrations and patches. Evaluating the Linux Server environment as it relates back to the Database and Application Servers, ensuring constant availability, capacity and performance.
